I used to think ease meant doing nothing.
That it was stillness, quiet, maybe even boredom.
But then something shifted.
I stopped trying to be peaceful, and instead — I just allowed myself to feel.
And what came through… was joy.
Not loud, performative joy. But deep, vibrant, full-body joy.
The kind that bubbles up when you’re simply present.
When you see the light hitting a flower and it makes you want to cry.
When you draw without thinking, and suddenly you're surrounded by color and little creatures that feel like friends.
This painting came from that place.
From letting myself feel good — really good.
From remembering that ease isn’t emptiness... it’s aliveness.
Ease is what makes everything sparkle.
That’s what I tried to capture here — the vibrant, playful, childlike magic that comes from surrender.
Not pushing. Not proving. Just being.
And letting joy rush in like color with nowhere else to go.
